First Day Teaching!

(Click on Pic to Enlarge)

The first day of teaching is just a good memory now.
By the end of the first two hours, most of the teachers
were saying; “I love this. I’m having such a good time.
My students are great!” And the students seemed just
as happy and excited to learn.

The numbers were disappointing, because of the 30 who
phoned the social worker and signed up, only very few came.
All together, we had 18 students. We hope and pray that more
will turn up today. However, we love and pray for the ones
who came. Some are believers from the church we attended
on Sunday, but most are not.

The team is doing a great job of adjusting to less than
ideal teaching situations, and are proving themselves
flexible. Our three interpreters are fitting in beautifully.
One of them may not be a believer, so we ask you to pray
specifically for him, as he spends time with us.

Our social evening last night (a BBQ at a local small
museum) only drew one student, so please pray that
we will be able to find ways to spend time with the
students outside of class. That is when we can share
our love for Jesus.
